Type specimen booklet: Caslon’S SUGAR RUSH
SUBVERTING EXPECTATIONS
This booklet serves as a type specimen that shows off Caslon’s range and ability to be more than its assumed use. Developed in the 17th century by William Caslon, the old style type is assumed to be traditional, sturdy, and trustworthy; however, it is capable of being far more. This booklet tells the story of a child who found a piece of candy and goes through an energetic sugar rush (and crash) through repetition and color.
MOTION PROCESS
The motion that accompanies the booklet is meant to expand upon and reinforce the themes within book. This motion was the perfect time to really push the idea of energy and an action-packed explosion of liveliness.
